TYPES OF LIGHTERS

There are many different types of lighters. However, for smoking dried herbs the most common ones are: gasoline, gas or incandescent lighters. Their characteristics are presented below.

Types of lighters:

Gasoline lighter – consisting of three main elements: gasoline tank, flint and wick. Ignition occurs when a wick immersed in gasoline contacts a spark caused by a metal pinching wheel on the flint. Gasoline lighters are very durable, and it is also possible to refill them, which means that once purchased, they will serve us for many years. The most recognizable gasoline lighters are the Zippo lighters.

Gas lighters – the most popular lighters available at every kiosk. The principle of how their work is actually very simple: when you press a button, the gas inside the lighter expands and mixes with the air, causing ignition. The lighter is turned off by releasing the button, which closes the valve and cuts off the gas supply. Gas lighters include most of the Clipper lighters available in our online store. Just like in the case of petrol lighters, gas lighters are refillable.

Incandescent lighters – their main element is a nozzle that sucks in air and mixes it with gas. A special mechanism creates a spark that ignites the escaping gas, resulting in a stable flame that is unaffected by wind and rain. This is why incandescent lighters are also called storm lighters.

WHICH LIGHTERS ARE BEST FOR SMOKING DRIED HEMP?

When it comes to smoking dried herbs it does not matter what type of lighter you use. Regardless of whether you choose incandescent, petrol or gas lighter, the hemp will burn the same. However, before buying you should answer the questions under what circumstances you will use it. If you are going on an expedition and the lighter is to set fire to CBD outdoors, we recommend incandescent lighters. However, when you like smoking at home and the flame will not be exposed to wind, choose the one that best suits your preferences.

DO I NEED A LIGHTER FOR THE VAPORIZER?

It depends. If you decide to buy a butane vaporizer, then you will need a lighter. Moreover, it should be an incandescent lighter or a mini butane burner. Butane vaporizers, also known as manual vaporizers, do not have any electronics, so you need to use an intense flame to heat the CBD. Considering lighters, only a storm lighter can provide it.
